Airservices Australia has international partnerships with ICAO, CANSO and IATA. The agency also maintains a close relationship with the Australian Defence Force through the Future Service Delivery business group, which will see the acquisition of a joint civil-military air traffic management system under the OneSKY Australia Program. ==Responsibilities== Airservices Australia manages and monitors Australian airspace which covers approximately 11 per cent of the earth’s surface. This includes the airspace over continental Australia, territorial waters and also international airspace boundaries over the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Airservices Australia also manages upper-level airspace (above 24,500 ft) under contract to the neighbouring Pacific Island Flight Information Regions of the Solomon Islands and Nauru. Each year, Airservices Australia provides air navigation services for more than four million domestic and international flights carrying over 90 million passengers. The aviation industry also relies on Airservices Australia for aeronautical data, telecommunications and emergency services.
